Shardul Anticipates Outdoor Adventures

Alejandro Rush, Editor-in-Chief

Nasik, India is an ancient city in western India known for its connection to an epic Indian poem, the Ramayana. More locally, Nasik is known for Srushti Shardul, an exciting addition to the RCHS junior class.

The small town of Lexington presents a stark contrast to the one million inhabitants of the metropolis of Nasik. Nonetheless, Shardul loves it here.

“I love the mountains, the greenery, the people. All the students are so helping, nice, and friendly,” Shardul said. “I love the pretty shops and houses. It is such a beautiful place. I love you Rockbridge, I love you, Lexington.”

Her favorite hobbies are painting—including ceramic and glass painting—hiking, travelling, and theater.

Shardul is eager to experience as much of the local natural scenery and culture as possible.
