The 2025 Golden Globes was a big hit this year. The dresses, outfits, interviews, and pictures were stunning and entertaining but the awards were the best part. This ceremony advertised the best and most recent movies and TV shows. After all of the actors and actresses’ hard work, they were awarded with the famous Golden Globes Award.
Although all of the characters, directors, and writers were very deserving of these awards, many of the movies and shows that won something, I hadn’t even seen. It did give me a good list of things to watch in the future. Out of the 27 nominations, I probably had heard of 20 of them but only watched about 10.
The craziest shock was the award given to Zoe Saldana for best supporting actress for Emilia Perez. This was really surprising to me because I believed it was going to be Ariana Grande for the movie Wicked. Wicked was one of Grande’s biggest movies and acting moments and she did such a great job that I definitely thought she would win. Even though I was convinced that Ariana Grande would win, Zoe Saldana was also very deserving of this award.
The least surprising award was the movie, Wicked, winning the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award. This movie had been in the making for a while now and everyone was excited about its release in November of 2024. Even with many new movies, it was obvious that this one had to win. The Broadway musical, Wicked, is also a big hit so there could have been only one winner for this award.
Overall the 2025 Golden Globes was a grand celebration of the hard work and dedication the actors, directors, filmmakers, and so many more put into these much deserving movies. Even those that didn’t win anything were still showcased wonderfully during the ceremony.
