Disney Channel movies were a core memory for many teenagers. I loved Disney Channel movies when I was growing up, and this is my ranking of my favorite Disney Channel movies.
- High School Musical: High School Musical is a movie about Troy Bolton, the star basketball player at East High School, and Gabriella Montez, a nerdy new student, who have to battle peer pressure when they decide to join the school’s musical together. This is an iconic Disney Channel movie, and it has amazing second and third movies. This is definitely Disney Channel’s best movie series of all time.
- Zapped: Zapped is about a teenage girl, Zoey Stevents, who’s phone is able to control boys at her new school. This is a movie with a creative plot, and overall it is a great movie.
- Teen Beach Movie: Brady and McKenzie, two teenage surfers, are transported into their favorite 1960s movie, ‘Wet Side Story’. This movie has fantastic choreography, music, and plot. This is another iconic Disney Channel movie.
- Princess Protection Program: A princess hides from danger in rural Wisconsin and experiences normal teenage life. This movie is a unique story which shows how opposites can be friends.
- Adventures in Babysitting: This Disney Channel movie is a remake of the 1987 movie. Two rival babysitters work together to babysit a group of kids and find a lost kid. This movie has a great storyline and is very entertaining.
- Radio Rebel: Ryan is the mystery DJ of a radio channel, but is threatened by her classmates and her principal to reveal her identity. This was my most watched Disney Channel movie when I was younger, so it earns a special place in my heart.
- Descendants: Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay are the children of famous Disney villains and they live on Isle of the Lost, the villain island. When the four are invited to school at Auradon on the island of the good, they have to overcome their parent’s pressure and the judgement of other students. This is another iconic Disney Channel movie series with a creative twist to classic Disney characters.
- Camp Rock: Mitchie Torres wants to go to a rock summer camp, but can only get in by working in the kitchen. When a pop star at the camp hears her, her summer camp experience changes. This is a very popular Disney Channel movie, and it stars some current celebrities.
- Frenemies: This movie follows the relationships of multiple people who are interconnected, and how their relationships are good and bad and how they change. This is a very interesting movie that highlights changing emotions and how complicated relationships can be.
- How to Build a Better Boy: Two teenage girls use technology to “create” the perfect boy because they are sick of teenage boys. This is a great movie with an interesting plot.
