The songs are also a big part of the movie. Students and adults that have seen the movie continue to listen to the music after they watch the movie. The soundtrack has over 3 billion streams on Spotify. Most of the songs are in English but some of them have Korean words in the middle of the song, which sometimes can make it hard to sing along.
For Senior Alison Ranger, she enjoys the musical elements of the songs.
“I like the song “What It Sounds Like” just because I love the harmonies. It is the only song without Korean so I’m not horribly stumbling over words. I feel so embarrassed when I stubble over the words,” Ranger said.
For school counselor Daniel Shelton, he likes the theme of the songs.
“ ‘What It Sounds Like’ because it made me cry like the first 12 times I listened to it. It’s a perfect song to neatly
wrap up the message of the movie, how the best way to overcome shame is with shameless vulnerability,” Shelton said.
If you like a movie with relatable characters and awesome music to jam out to, then “K-Pop Demon Hunters” is the movie for you. The movie is sad and funny and people of all ages enjoy it.
