Geometry teacher Scott Fleshman is taking over the statistics program at RCHS for the first time. The students in the statistics program now are upperclassmen that Fleshman taught previously.

“It’s a whole lot different because I came into the year knowing everyone in the class, which was cool because I already knew their likes and dislikes and what they could and couldn’t do,” said Fleshman.

Fleshman’s goal for the year is for all of the students to receive  a four or five on the AP exams.

“I am really glad I decided to take stats this year, even though I was worried about it, and I’m looking forward to working with Mr. Fleshman this year,” said junior Rachel Maxwell.

Students are able to incorporate hands on and visual activities, rather than solve  only theoretical problems.

“It’s so much fun to work with real world data and apply math,” said junior Burke Haywood.
