There are many places to get doughnuts in Rockbridge County, including Pure Eats, Mr. G’s, Sheetz, 7-11, and Walmart. This begs the question, which is the best? 

A poll was sent out to students to see which donut stop was their favorite. Upon conducting this poll, there were 102 responses. 

In first place was Pure Eats with 43.1% of votes. Pure Eats is a restaurant in downtown Lexington and they vary their doughnut flavors every day according to what the owners want to make. However, each day of the week has its own doughnut. For example, every Friday, there are blueberry doughnuts. Pure Eats also has their staple doughnuts which are cinnamon sugar and old fashioned plain. Pure Eat’s hours are eight to eight every day. 

Senior Abigail Brooks enjoys Pure Eats doughnuts. 

“They’ve catered events that I have been to, and I have always loved them,” said Brooks. 

Coming second to Pure Eats was Mr. G’s doughnuts, which had 37.3% of votes. Mr. G’s doughnuts tend to be very large in size which is a big reason why people like them. It is a food truck in which the hours are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7am. to 12pm. Mr. G’s always has staple doughnuts including blueberry and also plain glazed. 

 Junior Lilly Sudar is a fan of Mr. G’s. 

“I enjoy Mr. G’s because their doughnuts are freshly made and always delicious,” said Sudar. 

In third place were the Walmart doughnuts with 7.8% of votes. Walmart bakery has a decent variety of doughnuts every day. The bakery closes before the store but does have good hours. One constant doughnut is the glazed doughnut. 

Freshman Adriana Watkins enjoys a doughnut from Walmart Bakery. 

“I like them only because they are really good tasting,” said Watkins.
