Lexington, VA Jersey Mike’s opened back in July 2023. They partnered with Project Horizon to help give back to the community. March is Jersey Mike’s month of giving. During the month of March, customers will have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donate $1, $3, or $5 to project horizon when placing their order. Wednesday, March 27 nationwide 100% of the sales went to project horizon.
20, Brendan Weeks was born and raised in Waynesboro, Virginia. At the age of 17 he started his first job at Jersey Mike’s. He’s worked at Jersey Mike’s for almost 4 years now. He worked his way up to be the General Manager at Lexington’s Jersey Mike’s when they opened. “It was my decision to partner with Project Horizon… We partner with a non profit organization, Project horizon stuck out to me the most because of their goal and what they are trying to do to change the community every single day” said Weeks
Cody Sensabaugh is the assistant manager at Lexington Jersey Mike’s. Sensabaugh graduated from Rockbridge County High School in 2020.
Jersey Mike’s has four students from Rockbridge County High School that works there. Freshman Kyleigh Frazier, Sophomore Payton Higgins, Sophomore Airica Clark, Junior Brenan Fridley.
Kyleigh Frazier is a freshman at Rockbridge County High School. Jersey Mikes is her first job.
“ We all did good working together in one small store helping raise money for people in need with some delicious subs,” said Frazier.
Jersey Mike’s raised $8,062.77 in total throughout the month of March for project horizon. “We are very pleased with the outcome and are looking forward to building a bigger day of giving for years to come” said Weeks.
They hope to continue their tradition and spread the word to the community to continue supporting Project Horizon in the coming years.
