Everyone has heard of the famous NYT games but the real question is: what is everyone’s favorite one to
play? After coming out with the most popular game, Wordle, NYT continued on to make new, creative games such as Connections, Strands, and Mini Crossword. A variety of ages can play these games but they have become particularly popular amongst high school and middle school students.
A large number of students have added these NYT games to their daily routine. Whether they play during or after school, students make room for it in their schedule including junior River Jenkins.
“I play Connections everyday, sometimes during school with friends, but mostly in the evening with my sister and mother,” Jenkins said.
Not only can it be a student activity but also a family experience.
Aside from the popular games are some that are not as well known. These i
nclude Spelling Bee and Letterboxed. Even though they may not be as popular, they are still
making an appearance in a few people’s daily life.
Junior Nadia G
aydos enjoys playing all the NYT games but her favorite is Spelling Bee.
“Spelling Bee helps spar
k different parts
of my brain that I do not regularly use in my other curricular classes or activities,” Gaydos said.
Not only are these games entertaining, they are also informational and provide students with new knowledge.
According to a poll sent out to students, Wordle is the most popular by 47.9%. Connections and the Mini Crossword came in a close second and third with 22.3% and 14%. Who knows what kind of games NYT will be
coming out with next.
