An assistant principal at Rockbridge, Amy Henson is on the trend by posting videos on Tiktok reviewing them. She posts weekly tastings of the cookies and reviewing them with her family. Crumbl Cookies, a rising brand internationally, has created a trend in which people review the weekly flavors. The brand started in 2017 but has grown significantly since then. Crumbl Cookies puts out new flavors every week that range from milk chocolate chip to birthday cake. “I started a couple months ago as a way to spend more time with my daughter.” said Henson
In the videos, she starts with showing off the cookies, then showing the names and describing them. In most videos on tiktok the reviews are done with family or friends. In her tiktoks she has one to two people reviewing with her.
“So it is typically always my daughter, and son in-law and sometimes we throw in the dogs,” said Henson
Henson’s videos have created talk of her reviews with many claiming it was the best part of their day. The whole trend has grown and with Henson’s videos it has grown in the highschool as well.
Junior, Schuyler Coleman voices her opinion on Henson’s Crumbl reviews.
“I like her reviews because they’re super entertaining, I like her dog and she always gives us the tea of the week,” Said Coleman
Henson creating videos has had a big effect on many students at RCHS. Many students talk about how Henson’s videos impact their day and can even be a highlight.
