As a new school year has begun, many new student drivers have emerged. Juniors and seniors who got their licenses over the summer are driving to school for the first time, so many students are driving to school in a variety of different vehicles.
All juniors and seniors have to park in the “J-lot,” located across the street from the high school, due to the ongoing construction of the CTE wing.
Eleanor Goodhart is a senior and has been driving for the past year.
“I drive a used 2007 Range Rover Sport,” said Goodhart. “I like driving it because it’s sporty, durable, has a great sound system and is perfect for country drives.”
This is a high tech car for how old it is and Goodhart loves getting to drive it around town, listening to music.
Drew Potter is also a senior and has been driving for almost two years.
“I drive a red Toyota 4Runner,” said Potter. “I like driving it because it drives really smoothly and it holds all of my baseball stuff without causing any inconvenience to the other passengers.”
This car allows Potter to be able to haul all of his friends around while also being suitable for all of their extra stuff.
Junior Brady Cauley also talks about his vehicle of choice, This truck brings back memories from when he was little and that holds a special place with Cauley.
“A 1995 dodge 2500 cumins and I like driving it because it was my grandfathers and it holds a lot of good memories,” said Cauley.
The vehicles in the parking lot show the personalities of the students who drive them. It allows for students to express themselves in a unique way and also benefits them in their busy lives.
