Yearbook Distribution Day took place on Aug. 22 in the cafeteria and outside the cafeteria from 11:45 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Students were able to collect their yearbooks that they ordered in the previous school year. The students also got to enjoy the games and extended lunch period. The extended lunch was an hour long and all students were in the singular lunch.
Brian Hamelman, photography teacher, explains what occurred on Yearbook Distribution Day. Hamelman oversees events like Yearbook Distribution Day and makes sure everything is in order. Students got to spend the lunch looking over the photos in the yearbook and they also got to play lots of games, including spikeball and cornhole.
“Yearbook Distribution Day is our day to hand out books to students that ordered them last year. We have a fall delivery yearbook so that we can include everything, such as spring sports, prom and gradu

ation. We handed out hundreds of books, and provided lawn games and music during the extended lunch period to keep students entertained,” said Hamelman.
Senior Claire Sigler helped set up items for Yearbook Distribution Day and also helped on the yearbook. She is also Editor and Chief for the yearbook.
“Before the day, we spend class time planning who was responsible for each task and designing signs to tell students where to go. On the day of the event, we spend fourth period setting up by moving tables, transporting yearbooks, and hooking up the speaker. I would say overall that the event was extremely smooth. This is our third year putting on this event, and I feel like we have improved our system each year,” said Sigler.
Senior Willow Rogers, who is the Assistant Editor and Chief on the yearbook, provided help with the day and the yearbook. She explains how she thought the day went,
“Yearbook distribution day was so good this year. I think we all had a really good time hanging out with each other during the big lunch. It was a great experience to watch everyone look at the new book we worked so hard on making,” said Rogers. Overall, the day went well and the students and staff seemed to really enjoy how the day turned out.
There were tables full of yearbooks and the games, including spikeball and cornhole, were set up on the ground for students’ enjoyment. If you want to order this years’ yearbook, make sure to order one from Mr. Hamelman’s room, labeled 114. Overall, the day went well and the students and staff seemed to really enjoy how the day turned out.
