Culinary class continuous to offer teachers lunches
Last year, the culinary class started offering a lunch service for the teachers in a new part of the CTE wing. This year they have brought back this service for the teachers.
The CTE wing has a small classroom type space connected to the culinary kitchen that was made specifically for the students to practice their food preparation and serving skills while in the culinary class.
They are currently using this space to provide teachers with lunches during the school day. The class prepares different lunches for the teachers Wednesday through Friday and they provide a different hot entree every Friday.
Students work with preparing the food, and are occasionally there when teachers are getting their lunches.
Senior DeLana Breeden, who is also in the culinary class, told us what part about serving lunches she enjoys.
“I enjoy the people that come in. It’s great to communicate with the people and teachers” Breeden said.
