I started photography my sophomore year, so 2022. When I began taking Hamelman’s class I loved it. I love photography because it creates an opportunity to capture moments that wouldn’t otherwise be thought of as “pretty.” giving light to the little moments and feelings. I like to photograph landscapes and any type of architecture, mostly when the lighting is unique and colorful. This is my favorite because it shows how you can portray emotion with just the colors and tones of photos- they almost look dreamy.- Junior Madelyn Jones

Olivia Hickman is a senior at Rockbridge County High School. This is her third year in journalism and she is the Online Editor in Chief for the Prowler. She joined journalism again because she enjoyed her past two years of creating articles and media for the Prowler. When she is not at school, Hickman enjoys riding her horse, Annie, and going to competitions with her. She is also involved in other clubs both in and out of school including Pony Club, Project Connection, NHS, and Interact. She also loves to read, bake, and hike. Hickman also has a passion for traveling. She enjoys exploring new places and learning about different cultures. She is so excited to finish out her time at high school taking this amazing class.
