Railroad Earth’s music is incredibly relaxing and peaceful to listen to. All six band members work together to synthesize their instruments, producing pieces of music that are incredibly warm and soothing to give ear to. I chose these songs because when I am outside in nature, or simply just driving, they reduce my anxiety and help me focus on the better parts of life rather than the gloomy ones. I would recommend listening to these songs when you are feeling down or stressed and need something good to take your mind off of things. Railroad Earth is a band that not many people know about, and they have a very large music catalog filled with more songs like this.

Jackson Crutchfield, Arts & Style Editor
Senior Jackson Crutchfield is a second year Journalism student who enjoys creative writing on topics he is interested and passionate about. In his second year of Journalism Jackson became the Arts & Style section editor and looks forward to playing a more involved role on The Prowler Staff. He spends most of his time outside hiking, fly fishing, playing the guitar, and backpacking. Jackson wishes he was living in an offgrid remote location in Patagonia, Argentina, fly fishing and living off of the land every day with nobody but his dog. He also loves going to concerts and music festivals, which he has been doing with his Deadhead dad ever since he was in a stroller. Some of Jackson’s favorite bands are The Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Phish, and Railroad Earth. He looks forward to one more year with his friends at RCHS and can’t wait to continue to write more extremely quality and in depth band reviews.
