On Sep. 23, Erin Allen, head of the Theater department at RCHS, released this year’s cast list. Their production will be “Grease.” (For more information on that, see this article.) The main leads of “Grease” are Danny Zuko, played by sophomore Hayden Shifflett, and Sandy Olsson, played by senior Presley Brzostek.
This is Brzostek’s third musical with the theater department, previously playing Vivienne Kensington in last year’s “Legally Blonde, Jr.” and Big Mamma in 2024.
“[…] I really didn’t even think it to be a possibility,” said Brzostek. “I feel so honored to play Sandy, and I’m so excited.”

Brzostek commented further on her role.
“Sandy is pretty different from me. We have different physical attributes as well as completely different personalities,” Brzostek said. “ I love being able to pick out parts of my costume, and in this, I can incorporate little pieces of my personality. Having a say in what I wear makes the character feel more personal to me.”
Senior Henry Hirt, who will be playing Johnny Casino, is very excited for his role.
“[…] While it may not be a huge role, playing Johnny Casino is going to be lots of fun!” said Hirt. “In order to show off a little bit of myself within the character, I’m going to be implementing my own experience in leading a band and performing in front of others.”
“Grease” will be performed from March 19 through 21, with doors opening at 6 PM. Concessions and exclusive “Grease” T-shirts will be sold at all performances.
“I hope everyone comes out and sees Grease this spring!” said Hirt.
