Many exchange students are scared of a new school system and new people they do not know. But for Daniel Donoso, that is not the case.
“I’m originally from Ecuador,” said Donoso. “My host family is close, so it’s pretty similar to my normal family.”
There are many reasons that people become exchange students, for his reason, Donoso stated: “Learning English is very important nowadays I also didn’t know what to study when I get to collage, so I have a year to think about what I want to study.”
Donoso also pointed out how different the US is to his home country, “It’s very different, the technology here is very different as well as the people. The people here are so polite and always smiling. Ecuador was sometimes like that and sometimes not.”
Along with that, he stated: “I’ve gotten everything down quite nicely, and I’m excited for the rest of the year,” said Donoso.
