New Teacher Profile: Mrs Ritter

Mrs. Ritter says hello!

This year, RCHS welcomed several new staff members and teachers. Among them is science teacher Mrs. Ritter. Before she came to the high school to teach all of us lucky students, she had quite a bit of prior experience.

“I taught for 33 years at Holy Cross Prep Academy, an awesome school in Delran, New Jersey,” said Ritter.

Adding even more teaching to the mix, she is currently also teaching college.

“I also taught and still teach (virtually) at Rowan College of Burlington County,” said Ritter.

At the school she previously taught at, they had begun to dabble in virtual learning, namely for snow days.

“We had totally eliminated snow days from our calendar,” said Ritter.

When things went 100% virtual at Holy Cross Prep, they were prepared.

“Our students had to check in for every single period of the day with their teachers for work, lecture, and attendance,” said Ritter.

With this experience of virtual learning at her old school, she had some familiarity with it beforehand.

“I love it here,” said Ritter. “Everyone has been so nice.”

Given that she had been teaching for 33 years before RCHS, she wasn’t nervous about transferring.

“I am not nervous for the transition to RCHS.” said Ritter. “I’ve been teaching too long for that,”
