Boys’ Lacrosse Shoot Through their Season

Boys’ Lacrosse wins a home game.

This season, the boys’ lacrosse team is 8-6 and is making extra efforts to strive. The team has been working extra hard with their two hour practices five times a week. The team is coached by Jake Adams, George Ray, and Paul Williams. The team really appreciates how hard the coaches work, and their hard work has been showing.

Sophomore Noah Campbell has been playing attack on the team for two years, and is now able to do the faceoff, thanks to his coaches.

“Coach Ray has the most experience, but Adams and Williams both help just as much. The feedback from the coaches is always helpful in improving our game and how we play as a team,” said Campbell.

Captains, junior Finn Stewart, and seniors Jakan Vance, Jake Tomlin, and Jordan Rodi are trying hard to get the team working together.

“Being chosen as a team captain as a junior is for sure an honor, even with the added pressures. I think this is the best year the team has had in a while,” said Stewart. “I think that if the team focuses hard, we could end on a high note.”

Senior Trey Williams is one of the new players on the team. Williams has been a swimmer all of his life, and decided to pick up lacrosse, as well.

“It has been a really smooth transition from swim to lacrosse. I can attribute this to my coach and teammates for pointing out my weaknesses and helping me correct them,” said Williams. “As a team, I think we have really stuck together, on and off the field.”
