On Wednesday October 27, the JV Football team faced off against the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks on the gridiron. The ‘Cats fought their way to victory with a final score of 46-6. 

Freshman Clay Irvine is a Wide Receiver for the JV team. 

“It was a back and forth game for a while,” said Irvine. “When we got the ball back at halftime our defense stopped them every time. Everyone played really well and everyone had their good moments.” 

On Friday October 29, the Varsity Football team played Harrisonburg Highschool in their territory. The ‘Cats fell one point short to the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks. 

Senior Keswick Owens is a Wide Receiver for the Varsity team .

“Coming off a tough loss, we had a hard week of practice to prepare for Harrisonburg and it paid off,” said Owens. “Guys like Garrett Stillwell and Isaih Williams really stepped up and made huge plays. I was extremely proud of our team even though we came up just short.”
