The JV Boys Basketball Team’s Victory Against Parry McCluer
The RCHS JV Boys Basketball team hosted Parry McCluer on 12/9 and used this home turf to their advantage. This county rivalry game is also a highly awaited game with a large turnout. The Wildcats played at 5:30 in the RCHS gym and took the title with a score of 54-25. Freshman Luke Eversole led the team in scoring the most points.
Jack Jenson, who is a freshman on the team, spoke about the excitement surrounding this rivalry game.
“I was happy with how everyone played, and it was great to get a win against Parry McCluer,” said Jenson.

Maxwell Pearson is a senior at RCHS and is super excited for his second year on the Prowler Staff. As a reporter, he hopes to meet new people and learn new things about Rockbridge County and RCHS by writing stories about them. He swims and loves to cook for family and friends. Maxwell enjoys taking advantage of Lexington’s terrain by running and mountain biking but fishing for local Marlin is where his hear lies. Maxwell’s all-time favorite movie is the Incredibles. His favorite pastimes are eating wild berry skittles, playing Mario Kart, smelling pine trees, and watching squirrels do obstacle courses. His dream job is to be a skydiving instructor in Dubai until the age of 83. But first, he will attend the University of Mississippi next fall. Go Rebels!
