Boys Basketball Reaches High Achievement at Harrisonburg
The Rockbridge Boys Basketball team faced off against Harrisonburg High School in Harrisonburg Jan. 24. The Wildcats triumphed, scoring 63 points while holding Harrisonburg to 60.
With any sport, there’s always room for improvement. Keaton Owsley is a junior forward on the Varsity Basketball team.
“…Over the year, I think we have improved on playing defense together and making better passes leading to better shots,” said Owsley.
According to Owsley, this is their second overtime win.
Their next game will be Jan. 31. They will play against Spotswood, at Spotswood High School.
About the Writer
Taina Covington, Reporter
Taina Covington is the only Brazilian on the Prowler staff. It’s sad. She is a reporter in her sophomore year, although she would prefer ‘artist supreme’. Covington plans on doing comic strips for the Prowler, reporting on clubs and art, and having a decent excuse to ask her parents if she can attend football games. Y’know, so she can write recaps and totally not hang out with friends. Covington speaks three languages- sort of. Does doing Virtual Virginia French count? Her friends would describe her as ‘creative’, ‘energetic’ and ‘slightly crazy '. She often overworks herself. Somehow Covington still finds time to listen to her precious radio, watch Marvel (and the occasional anime film), play with her parakeets, and draw.
