“It helps to build momentum throughout the game and gives the team more confidence to execute the game plan,” Watkins said.
On the bright side, senior Aiden Myers stepped up for the ‘Cats with some big defensive plays and good receiving yards. His play on Friday night was good enough to earn him the most valuable player on the local radio show.
The ‘Cats will play Buffalo Gap High School this Friday, Oct. 3, at home. In order for the ‘Cats to be successful Friday night, the team needs to improve on a number of things.
Senior lineman Price Lunsford talks about what areas the team needs to improve on going into the game on Friday night.
“We need to definitely improve on being tougher, basic technique, getting low on tackles, and wrapping up,” Lunsford said.
Come out this Friday night to Prasnicki-Ross Field at Veterans Stadium, home of the Wildcats, and cheer on the team as they look to gain their first win.
