Varsity volleyball falls to Wilson Memorial at home

On Thursday, Oct. 2, the varsity volleyball team fell to the Hornets of Wilson Memorial High School 3-1 in Lexington. This was the second meeting between the two teams this year, with Wilson taking game one earlier this season in September. The ‘Cats won set one, but Wilson won the next three sets, sealing the win.

Rowe Carter is a sophomore and is also a first year reporter in journalism. He is excited to take journalism because it’s a good opportunity to be involved in the school and aware of things that are going on. Carter plays basketball for the school, participates in outing club activities, and is the treasurer for the class of 2028 student council. Outside of school, he can be found playing basketball, fishing, or exercising. Carter is a huge UNC fan and closely follows their football and basketball teams. Carter’s favorite restaurant is Chick-fil-A and his dream job is to work at the Chick-fil-A headquarters located in Atlanta, Georgia.
