On Tuesday, Oct. 4, the Varsity Volleyball team competed against Turner Ashby in a 3-0 win. After the win, the team now sits at a 13-4 game record. Jada Hamilton, member of the Varsity team, noted that partial credit of the win was “the hype” of the gym.

“Some highlights from last night’s game was good coverage and good hitting,” said Hamilton.

Their strengths led them into 25-15, 25-10, and 25-20 set wins. Lexi Polly, senior on the Varsity team, recalled some highlights from the game. “Maddie Dahl had about 10 aces in total and our hits were really strong,” said Polly.

This win put them in a 4 game winning streak.

Looking back on what to improve, Polly said, “We had a few communication errors.”

Hamilton also noticed a similar takeaway from the game. “Enjoy the moments [of the game] and not rush through the game,” said Hamilton. The team’s next home game will be against Spotswood on Oct. 18.
