On Saturday, Jan. 7 2023, RCHS wrestling competed at the 2023 LCA Invitational. The team placed second overall and had many medalists across the weight classes.

 Hudson Ryan placed third for the 113 lbs weight class, Ryan Maxwell placed fourth for the 120 lbs weight class, Aidan Williams placed sixth for the 144 lbs weight class, Zeke Mohr placed fourth for the 150 lbs weight class, Thomas Maxwell placed fourth for the 157 lbs weight class, Brice Hall placed first for the 175 lbs weight class, and Je’san Henderson placed third for the 215 lbs weight class.

 “I felt that the tournament went great overall, we had several medalists along with our team taking 2nd overall. I think we would’ve been first if we had all our varsity members there. I also think it was a great show of how good our team is this year and how we will do by the end of the season,” said Mohr.

The wrestling team will have their next meet on Jan. 11th, this will be a district meet against rival schools, Broadway, Turner Ashby, and Spotswood.
