For the second year in a row, the International Affairs Club hosted its own model United Nations conference at the high school. Around 30 students spent April 22 and 23 debating issues include the Israel-Palestine conflict, the civil war in Yemen, drug sales in South America, and the future of the international oil industry as their assigned countries.

Along with debating the issues, the club hosted W&L academic fellow Henok Gabisa for a lecture on the future of the United Nations.

RCHS alumni Michael Dearing and Johnny Drahos returned to the school to help run the event, along with club sponsors Christopher Gallagher and Sandra Hayslette and the club executives. At the end of the weekend, junior Quinn Hoover and sophomore Charlie Mayock-Bradley won the best delegate awards, with senior Chris Ritter and sophomore Amber Kusek winning most honorable delegates.
