The boys’ basketball team took home a win against Fort Defiance with a final score of 59-54. The ‘Cats stayed in the lead for the majority of the game, and worked as a cohesive team to win.

“We got a little run going at the end of the second quarter, lost the lead late in the fourth, but we battled back and made some tough free throws at the end,” said shooting guard Harrison Hundley. “We played a good defensive game too. I hit some tough shots.”

Center and team captain Triniti Stores was also satisfied with the team’s performance.

“We did pretty well, we made a lot of crucial shots,” said Stores. “Our shot precision wasn’t as good as our usual game, but it was good enough to win.”

The ‘Cats currently have a record of four and two. Their next game is against Perry McClure High School.
