On Wednesday, Aug. 31, the cross-country team faced Spotswood and Broadway at a meet in Natural Bridge. The Wildcats came in second. Spotswood took first and Broadway in third.

  Senior Megan Timmes, senior Evan Roney, and senior Brian Kendall were some of the students in the races. Timmes placed first in her race. Roney placed fifth in his respective race. Kendall got fifth in his.

An interesting dynamic on Cross-Country is that siblings are sometimes together on the team.  Sophomore Lydia Kendall said, “Because my brother is a senior, it was nice to see him finish.”

The next meet for the Cross-Country team is against Cave Spring. It is at Cave Spring High School in Roanoke. It will be held on Sept. 10 and begins at 7:00 a.m.
