On Dec. 10, 2021, The varsity girls basketball team faced off against the Parry Mccluer fighting Blues. It was a tough game for the ‘Cats in which they experienced a 21-54 loss. The girl’s next game is Monday Dec 13, 2021 at home against Waynesboro. 

    Star Senior, Emily Mahood hopes that the team will be able to put this one behind them and begin working to be ready for the rematch in January.

“PM is always a fun team to play! There’s lots of energy and a different kind of pressure that comes with playing rival teams. We have a young group and a new coach this year, so things are different and we are adjusting. PM is a talented team, but so are we. Once things click for us as a team, I’m confident that we will be hard to beat. We are taking the loss as a huge learning experience and we cannot wait to be back on the court for a rematch!”

On Dec. 9, 2021, the JV girls basketball team defeated PMHS with an impressive 25-19 victory. The JV girls next game is also at home versus Waynesboro.
