I’ve been playing guitar for about a year and half and trombone for a little under five years. One thing I like about playing is how much variety there is with playing. The ability to play different styles of music and the ability to solo and create your own music. Another thing I really like about music is the ability ear tune a piece of music and then be able to play it which I’m not very good at. My favorite type of music is rock music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Musicians that I really like are Eric Clapton, Kurt Cobain, and Jimmy Page who are all lead guitarists in their bands.- Sophomore Ethan Erskine

Junior Olivia Hickman is a second year news editor for the Prowler. She joined journalism again because she loved journalism last year. When she is not at school, Hickman enjoys riding her horse, Will, and going to competitions with him. Hickman’s most recent accomplishment with Will was competing at the United States Pony Club National Championships in Tryon, North Carolina, where her team finished first. She also loves to read, bake, and hike. Hickman also has a passion for traveling. She enjoys exploring new places and learning about different cultures. She especially enjoys trying new food.
Claire Sigler, Art Director
Claire Sigler is a junior at Rockbridge County High School. This is her second year in Journalism and her first year as Art Director. She is ecstatic to continue being involved with the school's newspaper. In her free time, Sigler enjoys drinking too many chai lattes, participating in intense Just Dance battles, and photographing anything and everything. Claire Sigler spends most of her time as a senior company member at the Rockbridge Ballet and partakes in many styles of dance including, pointe, ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. After highschool, she plans on moving to Finland to become a professional sleeper where she will get to write reviews about the comfort of mattresses.
