I have been playing disc golf in a competitive and consistent manner since 2014. Disc golf is a really great sport because it is creative, physical, and mentally challenging. You can spend time in the woods with friends, or you can play alone. You can travel and play in different states. It’s a great activity with my best friends every time I visit them. It is all around an incredible time and way to get exercise. I am currently not playing nearly often enough, maybe a few times a month right now since we are getting ready to have a baby. I used to play multiple times a week when I was able. I like to play with friends and members of the community. We started a club, Rockbridge Disc Golf Club, a few years ago. That has grown into a lot of members and it is great to have a group of dedicated players that get together sometimes multiple times a week. – Teacher Brian Hamelman

Claire Sigler, Print Editor-in-Chief
Claire Sigler is a senior at Rockbridge County High School. This is her third year as a member of The Prowler, and she is thrilled to be stepping into the role of Editor-in-Chief. Sigler is ecstatic to continue her work with the school’s newspaper and is ready to dive even deeper into its creation. She can often be found sipping one too many chai lattes, enjoying a good movie, or photographing anything and everything. As a dedicated dancer, she spends most of her time as a senior company member at The Rockbridge Ballet, training in a range of styles including pointe, ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. After high school, Sigler plans to expand her passion for design by growing her marketing skills, combining creativity with strategy to make ideas a reality.
