Volleyball vs Alleghany

The undefeated volleyball team defeated Alleghany on Thursday night, Sept. 7 in straight sets 25-10, 25-17, and 25-22.

The ‘Cats started set one with two aces and several blocks from Keely Doyle. The ‘Cats lost a few points, but then recovered, winning the set 25-10.

According to junior Hannah Berlin, the ‘Cats worked together extremely well after giving up the first few points in the first set.

The second set started off strong, with several kills from Jaydyn Clemmer. The ‘Cats kept up the momentum when both Hannah Burch and Erika Paredes hit aces. Clemmer had many kills during set two, helping end the set 25-17.

The team continued their strength into set three with an ace by Kennedy Clemmer. However, Alleghany caught up quickly and made set three 24-22. The ‘Cats managed to score once more, ending set three with a score of 25-22.

According to Berlin, there are high hopes for the girls’ this season, and they hope to keep the undefeated streak alive.
