The wrestling team defeated James River and Robert E. Lee Tuesday, Dec. 6 at their home meet, 48-30, and 68-10 respectively. Seniors Anderson Huger, Kage Tomlin, Smith Hinty, and Ben Maxwell went undefeated on the night, leading the Wildcats to victory.

Wrestling against R. E. Lee high school, the ‘Cats lost only two matches. John Ryan Sedovy  wrestled until the final buzzer of the third round, winning by points.

In the second match up of the night, the ‘Cats took on the James River Knights. After losing the first two matches, the Wildcats came back to win. Sophomore Anthony Marando suffered a bloody nose in his match. After two timeouts for blood, the athletic trainer resorted to wrapping tape around Marando’s head to stop the bleeding. Tied with 15 seconds left in the match, Marando scored an escape point to win the match and help carry the ‘Cats to victory.
