The Rockbridge County cross country team competed in the Runnin’ With the Wolves Rocktoberfest Cross Country Invitational in Forest Virginia this past Saturday, October 16th. The meet took place at the Gravelly Hills venue with steep terrain and rolling hills. The RCHS Wildcats took 10th in the Varsity Girls 5k and 17th in the Varsity Boys 5k. Junior Megan Timmes took 22nd place with a time of 21:35. Junior Brian Kendall also led the boys team with a time of 18:10 while taking 16th place. The meet was hosted by Jefferson Forest and had seasonal inspiration. The atmosphere was filled with Halloween-themed music to start the race and keep the runners motivated.

“The course was pretty hilly, but they played music with box speakers around the course the whole time, so that made it fun,” said Kendall.

The RCHS Wildcats will continue their season with another meet this upcoming Saturday, October 23rd.
