On Friday, March 18 the RCHS girls soccer team played their first official game of the season. They played against Stauton’s girl’s soccer team. The girls fought extremely hard but lost their game to a score of six to three. 

The team’s freshman striker, Madelyn Jones scored two goals and Sophie Vaught scored one for their team. 

Meg Liwag, one of the team’s players, shared her thoughts about the team’s first official game. “I think we played really well as a team, especially for our first game,” Liwag stated. “It was a very solid start against an experienced and accomplished team so we were very satisfied!”

The girls plan on training hard for their upcoming season. Make sure to support the girl’s soccer team so they can take home the gold!
