RCHS Softball Team Strikes Out The Competition!

Kyle Goodbar

On Wednesday, March 30 the RCHS softball team defeated Stuart Draft’s softball team in a 7-4 game. The girls had lost their previous game against Stuarts Draft by 11-1, so the team rallied around each other to defeat them in the second go-round.

The team’s pitcher, Senior Margaret Dudley struck out nine of the opposing players, giving the team a quick advantage. Senior Sage Marcum shared her thoughts on the game.

“I think our team played really well with them,” she says. “We got slaughtered the first time but showed them what we really could do the second time.”

When asked about the team’s overall performance, Marcum responded with, “We made great plays in the field and opened the bats up from the beginning. I couldn’t be any more proud of my girls and their performance.”

Congratulations on the big win for the softball team and we all hope for many more wins to come in the future.
