Wicked winding courses slayed by Rockbridge’s XC team

Rockbridge Cross Country crushed the course at Wilson Memorial High School on Aug. 24. Boys had placed second with three boys in top 25. The girls had six runners in the top 25.

Junior Jordan Imler provided some insight on the match.

“For me personally, the race went great. I did way better than I thought I would and my team placed second for the boys. I feel like this is going to be an amazing season for the team and I feel that we will make it further as a whole team than we have in awhile,” Imler said.

Junior Deena Ludtke included a personal view on the whole team as well.

“I think the meet was good. I think we all did better than any of us thought we would, considering it was our first meet of the season. We were all happy that six of our girls made in the top 25 and three of our boys did. And, the fact that we ran one of our hardest courses,” Ludtke said.

Catch them back on Aug. 31 at home or Sept. 10 at Cave Spring. Cheer on your Wildcats as the seasons progresses!
