Lady Cats Fall To The Fort Defiance Indians

On Aug.31 the lady cats took on the Indians from Fort Defiance.

It was a back and forth fight between the ’Cats  and the Indians. Junior Varsity fell to Fort Defiance with winning the first set 25-22 and with a close fight in the last two sets 19-25 and 12-15. The varsity wildcats also had a very upsetting loss.

Lily Clark is a sophomore on the  varsity volleyball team,”For future games we are definitely more motivated. I think losing lit a fire under us to work even harder,” said Clark. “Some high points of the game were that everyone kept their energy and when we were all tired we still pushed ourselves and did the best we could.”

The Varsity Cats put up a battle in the first set losing 15-25. The ‘Cats  rebounded in the second set’, winning 29-27. Winding down to the last two sets the “Cats  were back and forth with the Indians, who won 19-25. Pushing through to the final set the cats fell 22-25. The Wildcats are now 2-1 in their season. The ‘Cats next game is Sep.8 against Staunton at Robert E.Lee highschool.
