At Broadway High School, on Feb. 7, the girl’s varsity basketball team faced the Gobblers. The game was a tough fight that led to a sad defeat.  The girl’s haven’t had the best season this year, with a record of 2-20, but they made it matter for themselves.

Senior McKenzie Hines shares her experience.

“I have been playing basketball for two years. I think that our defense is very strong, we just can’t make the shots we need on offense,” said Hines.

She also shared her goals for the past season and the future.

“To just have fun, stay in shape, and be a leader,” said Hines.

Although the 2023 season has come to a heartbreaking close, the girls fought until the very end.
