Volleyball vs Spottswood

The volleyball team defeated Spottswood on Wednesday night, Nov. 8 in straight sets 26-6, 25-18, and 25-15.

The ‘Cats started set one with several blocks from Keely Doyle and Hannah Burch. The ‘Cats continued the first set with several kills from Jaydyn Clemmer, Gracen Armstrong, and Erika Paredes. The ‘Cats won the set 26-6.

“I feel like we played a good game. The other team had a lot of skill, but it came down to which team had more passion, and we came out on top,” said junior Jordan Wright.

The second set started off with several kills by Doyle. The score fluctuated, but the ‘Cats recovered with two blocks from Armstrong and Jaden Harrison. Paredes raised the score with two kills. The ‘Cats carried on their momentum with several kills by Clemmer. The ‘Cats won the set 25-18.

The third set started off with three aces from Clemmer. The ‘Cats had several blocks from Armstrong and Burch. Set three finished up with several aces from Doyle. Armstrong made the last point with a block. The ‘Cats finished 25-15.

“Even though I have been injured, I am extremely proud of my team for getting this far, and can’t wait to see what happens next,” said junior Hannah Berlin.
