The Wildcat girls’ basketball team suffered a loss of 76-13 against Parry McCluer High School on Jan 2.

Co-captain Haley Cruze believes that the team did not meet their full potential.

“We work hard in practice, we just didn’t show it on the court tonight,” said Cruze.

At halftime, the score had reached 6-31. The ‘Cats tried to fight back in the second half but could not stop the Blues from scoring. Cruze, Zoey Camden, Emily Galford, and Lyla Chittum were the only ‘cats to score against the Blues.

Head coach Andy Coffey was pleased with the performance of his freshman and sophmores.

“Our lowerclassmen handled the pressure very well,” said Coffey.

The ‘Cats plan to improve by practicing harder and making things more intense. Their ultimate goal is to make it to playoffs and they currently hold a record of 4-9.
