On Feb. 26, the varsity football team powered through the snow and defeated Fort Defiance. At half time the Wildcats took the lead over Fort Defiance 8-0 and finished the game winning 15-0.

Junior and Quarterback Miller Jay said, “The game did not go as well as I would have liked, but I can’t complain about winning. I was very happy with our team defensively. Our defense came very prepared and ready to perform.”

The winter weather at Friday’s game brought unusual circumstances that the players were not accustomed to. “The weather definitely affected how I played personally. I have never thrown in conditions like that and I struggled,” said Jay.

The next varsity football game will be played away on Friday March 12, against Waynesboro.
