On Tuesday March 15th both Varsity and JV baseball took on James River High School. JV beat the Knights 12-8 on our home turf while Varsity traveled to Buchanan for an 8-6 win over the Knights. 

Senior captain Keswick Owens pitched a complete game and senior captain Austin Higgins drove in 2 RBI’s.

“The James River game went well”, captain Austin Higgins said, “It was a good benchmark for us and a great way to start off the season”. 

The team has big hopes for the rest of the season as they hope to go far in the district and hopefully to regionals as well. 

“The team’s goal is win the district this year,” said Higgins, “We had a solid season last year but we’d like to go farther this year and continue the win streak we’re on right now.”
