The Cross Country team traveled to Grottoes Town Park in Spotswood on Oct. 12. The girls gave it their all and finished first in the team portion and the boys finished fourth. 

“It was really good to see what our district course will look like and it was really uplifting to leave with first place which will motivate us to keep pushing through our season,” said senior Rachel Hines. 

The weather was perfect for a two mile run around the park. Overall both teams did really well.

“Our cross country team went really well. The girls team placed first and overall uys placed third. Even though it was a two mile course instead of the normal 5k, it was a good indicator for our district meet in a few weeks. We are very excited to go into the postseason, and the girls team plans to make it to states for the second year in a row,” said Hickman.
