Last Friday, Dec. 2, the Rockbridge Wildcats fell hard to the Fort Defiance Indians. Unfortunately, the ‘Cats got off to a bad start in Friday’s game, and could never fully recover, ending the game in a 38-62 loss.

Junior forward Keaton Owsley put up five points for the ‘Cats.

“I think they out hustled us in the first half,” said Owsley, “but we were ready to play in the second.”

After the disappointing first half, the ‘Cats started to rally, but were too far behind to make a true comeback.

Junior center Jackson White stays hopeful for the team’s future games.

“We will be back to work and to fix the mistakes,” said White, who had two points during the game.

The team is still working out their problems and have a bright future ahead of them. They will have a chance to showcase their hard work this Wednesday, Dec. 5 as they take on the Spartans of Salem at Salem High School. This away game is all in preparation for the rematch against the Indians at home this Friday, Dec. 9. Come out and support your Wildcats!
