The Wildcats Take on the Spartans

RCHS’ varsity boys lacrosse team kicked off the start of their season by facing the Salem Spartans on March 13. They did not come out with a win with a final score of 4-8.

Senior Colby Jarvis is a long stick defenseman and he played his last first game. He shared his thoughts on how the game went.

“The first part of the game was rough but we did start to get momentum going and the offense got some well placed outside shots against a good zone defense. The defense did a good job on slowing down fast breaks to not give up quick man goals,” said Jarvis.
Junior Sawyer Hattersley played close defense and shared his thoughts on the result of the game.

“Our defense had good improvements with holding the ball and getting more opportunities,”  said Hattersley.

The next boys lacrosse game will be March 22 against Blacksburg at home.
