On April 20, the RCHS Girls’ Lacrosse Team traveled to Forest, VA to play against the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers. The JV team went against the Cavaliers first, taking them down 15-2. The Varsity team followed, with a bumpy start, with Jefferson Forest decorating the scoreboard with the first goal. The Wildcats recovered quickly, answering with back-to-back goals going into halftime. RCHS walked triumphantly away with a 19-3 victory.

Jaden McCoy, a senior attack on the lacrosse team spoke on her team’s performance in the game.

“I thought we played really well as a team, and trusted each other more as the game went on,” said McCoy. “We could have started the game out with a stronger mindset, but we fixed it after the first five minutes.”
