On March 4, the Wildcat volleyball team hosted Fort Defiance for the second game of the season, which the Wildcats handedly beat Fort in straight sets, and even held Fort Defiance to under 10 points in the third set. Many different members of the Wildcat team were making plays whether it was digs, blocks, kills, and saves; the Cats were everywhere.

Junior, Grace Cauley was happy with the way the team played and hopes to continue their success throughout the rest of the season.

“We all played really well and as a team. We kept high energy throughout the whole game and won.”

Junior, Krissy Whitesell was also pleased with the way the team played overall.

“We all worked really well together, our defence was really good which allowed us to have a strong offense. We were smart with our plays which helped us score a lot of points.”

Following the Wildcat’s victory they have improved to 2-0 on the season. Next, the Cats will travel to Harrisonburg on March 8 to face off against the Blue Streaks.
