Legendary Eats Lexington Review

Legendary Eats Lexington Review

Seamus Looney, Reporter

Legendary Eats Lexington is a semi-new establishment located in downtown Lexington, Va. at 110 W Washington St next to Sweet Things. Taking a twist on breakfast and lunch, sandwiches and bagels are inspired by movies, video games, and mythological beasts. Legendary Eats has racked up four to five  stars on several food and restaurant reviews in the area. Knowing this fact, I had to try it out.

I walked in on a wonderful Friday morning accompanied by Rockbridge County High School Quarterback, Miller Jay. We entered into a restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. There was upbeat music playing and a few people sitting down enjoying their meals. We both ordered Legendary Eat’s most popular breakfast sandwich,  the Sasquatch. The Sasquatch consists of eggs, cheese, Taylor ham, home fried potatoes, peppers, and onions. The sandwich was presented in a wrap of tin foil. After a few minutes, my Sasquatch was gone. Everything tied together very well, and it made for an awesome sandwich. Breakfast-wise I would argue that this is the best breakfast sandwich Lexington has to offer.

I also had to try one of Legendary Eats lunch sandwiches called the Jersey Devil, which is their second most popular sandwich behind the Sasquatch. The Jersey Devil is an Italian sandwich that consists of ham, salami, capicola, soppressata, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, oregano, oil, and vinegar. Although I tend to prefer a warm sandwich, the coldcut Jersey Devil was scrumptious. The sandwich was massive and made for a great lunch to provide energy for the rest of the day.

Overall I would rank Legendary Eats a 9/10. Both the breakfast and lunch is fantastic, not to mention they have an extremely nice staff and a great atmosphere within the restaurant.
