Soccer Wins First Scrimmage

March 5, RCHS Boys Varsity Soccer had their first scrimmage of the season against Alleghany. The Wildcats won 2-1.

Sophomore John David, left wing, scored the two Wildcat goals.

“It felt great scoring two goals for the team, not only because it helped us win, but it made me feel more confident as a player for RCHS,” said David.

Sophomore Fisher Howald is a left back for the Wildcats.

“I cover the left side of defense,” said Howald. “We do everything we can to make sure the ball does not get past us and into the goal.”

The next game for the Cats’ will be on Friday, March 15. The boys’ record is 1-2 on the season so far. For more information on RCHS Boys Varsity Soccer, visit the Rockbridge County High School athletics website at https://www.rockbridge.k12.va.us/RCHS.
